Who doesn't love puppies?

Gracie and JJ are the proud parents of 3 boys and one girl! What a great Christmas present this was. I am keeping the only girl, Bella and the black boy, Radar. Gracie loves Radar. She hugs him all the time. Bella, being the only girl, is the runt. For sure, these are the top two picks of the liter.

Protect our children.

Lately I have spent a great deal of time researching the recent horrific crimes against children, especially in Florida. Please educate your children on how to be safe and protect themselves against the evil people in our world today. Please take care to do what you can to keep them safe.

It is sometimes a difficult balance to allow our children to spread their wings and fly and keep them safe at the same time. It can be done. Use good judgment. Sometimes you just have to say no. Later they will understand.

I honestly believe that our public school systems should do more to educate our children on child safety. Some have argued with me and say that it is the parents' responsibility, not the school's, to keep their children safe. I agree parents should be responsible but, children grow up and become parents. I think if the public school systems would dedicate some time to educate children on how to protect themselves it would be a good place to start.

Firing The Kiln Tonight

The kiln is loaded with glazed pieces. Will open the kiln in the morning.

Wednesday, July 15, 2009

What a big bummer. What is the first lesson you learn about firing clay? Make sure it is dry. New jugs on the way.

Sunday, June 28, 2009

The kiln is burning. Can't wait to see how things turn out. Many irons in the fire.

My Website
Clay on the way. It all works. After years of moving around, then finally collecting dust in the basement for several more years, the kiln and the wheel are breathing the breath of life into new pieces. What a joy it was to see that all is well. Thanks to You Tube I made my first pot on the wheel. Simon Leach is the man. Thank you for sharing your life with us. Many others have also shared their skills. New and exciting works are on the way. My mind is spinning almost as fast as my wheel. I always knew one day I would get it.
I need a manicure...not. Hands of an artist. I love it.

My Bead Work

One Of My Favorite Cabochons

Needle Cases & Lighter Covers

I have been busy.

For the past several weeks I have been very busy putting my You Tube channel together. I've learned so much and met so many kind and talented people. It has been a ton of work but the rewards have made it all worth it. After a stressful night of working as a nurse in a critical care unit it has been so nice to come home read all the wonderful emails from so many different people. I still have so much to get done. I really appreciate all of the questions and feedback. It really helps me to make better videos. Thank you all so much for your interest and kindness.
